In a recent Plasse Poll that asked 303 California residents 18+ from Dec. 1 - Dec. 2 about Shoplifting and Retail Theft in California found that 27% of people had stolen or shoplifted from a store with only 3% having ever been arrested for a misdemeanor or felony. Other Poll Results: When comparing Walmart to Target participants thought Walmart was the easiest to steal from. When comparing Home Depot to Lowes participants thought Home Depot was the easiest to steal from. When comparing CVS to Walgreens participants thought Walgreens was the easiest to steal from. When comparing Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe’s, and ALDI participants thought ALDI was the easiest to steal from. 68% percent of participants thought shoplifting is a serious crime in California.
